Course Format

In this short and concise introduction Andrew guides you through the fundamentals of what the Catholic Church actually teaches following the order found in the Compendium. The course begins by looking at the human capacity for God and God's action in human history through divine Revelation. 

After this you will hear how the Church understands and interprets this divine Revelation through Scripture, Tradition and the teaching office of the Church's Magisterium. You will learn what the Church teaches about the Trinity, Creation, Divine Providence, and the nature of sin and evil. A highlight of this series is the presentation on Jesus Christ and his redemptive activity. In the lecture on Christ's resurrection Andrew beautifully provides some of Pope Benedict XVI's brilliant insights on this Easter event.

Andrew explores the Church's teaching on the nature of the Church and how Jesus continues his redemptive activity through the Church and draws the series to a close with a brief exposition of the four last things: Death, Judgment, Heaven and Hell.
